How JaxBNB handles personal information
Effective October 27, 2026 · Version 1.0 (2026-10-27.1)
This notice describes information handled by JaxBNB LLC through JaxBNB.com, the JaxBNB marketplace, related booking support and our owner portal. The information involved depends on whether you browse, inquire, book, host a property or use a separate management service. It does not replace a separate provider’s privacy notice or a notice presented for a specific sensitive-data use.
1. Information we receive
Information you provide includes your name, contact details, account information, inquiries, booking and stay details, property and business information, messages, reviews, photos, agreements and records you provide to support a request or dispute. Hosts may provide tax, licensing, insurance and payout information needed for their services. Please supply only information needed for the feature you use.
Booking systems, Hosts, property-management software, payment providers and operations providers may send JaxBNB reservation details, transaction status, payment references, communications and service records needed to operate the marketplace or provide an agreed service. Payment providers handle payment credentials under their own security practices; do not send full card numbers, bank credentials or passwords by ordinary email.
When you use our online services, technical information can include IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, referring pages, approximate location inferred from IP address, cookies and usage or security logs. The JaxBNB website uses Google Analytics for website measurement. Your browser and any available site controls affect the information these technologies receive.
Some stays require identity verification, which may include an identification document and selfie through the designated secure guest portal. The relevant booking flow must explain the requirement and any additional permissions before collection. Do not email identification documents to our general inbox. Do not provide medical details or other sensitive information unless needed for a specific request and a suitable collection channel has been arranged.
2. How we use information
We use information to answer inquiries; create and support accounts; arrange, administer and support reservations; communicate about access and stays; provide separately agreed owner services; process and reconcile authorized payments; review listing eligibility; prevent fraud and protect safety; resolve disputes and content reports; maintain business records; comply with law; and understand and improve our services. We use contact information for marketing only with the permission or other legal basis required for that communication. Operational booking messages are separate from marketing.
3. Who receives information
The Host and relevant service providers receive information reasonably needed for a booking or requested service. Depending on the connection used, providers can include LocalOTA for booking technology, OwnerRez for property and reservation software, SuiteOp for guest and operations services, Stripe or another identified payment processor, PandaDoc for agreements, and hosting, communications, security and analytics providers. A provider name here does not mean every provider receives every type of information.
Independent Hosts and providers may have their own legal obligations and privacy practices. Review the policies shown in the booking, payment, verification or signing flow. Hosts may not use Guest information obtained through JaxBNB as a general marketing list or sell it in violation of their marketplace obligations. JaxBNB remains responsible for its own handling of information.
Reviews, ratings, listing information and other content you submit for publication can be publicly visible. Do not include private contact details, access codes, identification documents or another person’s private information in public content. We may disclose relevant records to comply with lawful process, protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, resolve claims, or support a business transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations. We may also disclose information at your request or with a permission presented for a particular purpose.
4. Cookies, analytics and communication choices
Essential cookies and similar technologies support functions such as sessions, security and booking continuity. Analytics technologies help measure website use. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser; blocking them may affect some functions and does not necessarily delete server-side records. Where a feature offers a consent control, your choice applies as explained there. Google provides additional controls for its analytics services in its own privacy information.
Use an unsubscribe link in a marketing email or contact info@jaxbnb.com to request that JaxBNB stop that marketing. Follow the opt-out instructions in any marketing text you have agreed to receive. We may still send necessary account, reservation, safety or legal communications. Consent to these terms is not blanket consent to marketing texts, sensitive-data processing or targeted advertising. If applicable law gives you a right to opt out of a particular use or disclosure, contact us using section 7 so we can identify and act on the request.
5. Retention and safeguards
We retain information for the period reasonably needed for the stated purpose, including active accounts and bookings, accounting and tax records, fraud prevention, agreement and acceptance evidence, disputes, legal holds and other legal requirements. The period varies by record type and legal obligation. Account closure or removal of public content does not automatically erase records we must or may lawfully retain; unnecessary information is deleted or de-identified under applicable retention practices.
We use reasonable safeguards suited to the information and services involved. No online system can promise absolute security. Keep account credentials private and report suspected unauthorized access promptly. Personal information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by the relevant service providers, subject to applicable legal requirements.
6. Children and other people’s information
JaxBNB accounts and bookings are intended for adults who can legally contract. Our online services are not directed to children under 13. An adult may provide limited information about accompanying children when required for a reservation, but should not create a child’s account or publish identifying details about a child. Contact us if you believe a child has directly supplied personal information inappropriately. Only provide another person’s information when you have authority and a lawful reason to do so.
7. Requests and contact
Contact JaxBNB LLC at info@jaxbnb.com with the subject “Privacy request,” or write to 521 Copeland Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204, United States. Telephone: 904-242-6988. Identify the service involved and the request; do not include passwords, full payment credentials or identity documents in the first message. We may reasonably verify identity or authority before disclosing or changing account information.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, withdraw consent, object to or restrict processing, opt out of particular disclosures or processing, or appeal a decision. We will handle a qualifying request within the applicable legal period, explain any lawful exception, and will not retaliate for exercising protected rights. You may contact us to appeal a privacy decision or complain to the appropriate regulator. A request to an independent Host or provider may also be necessary for information it controls.
8. Changes to this notice
We will post updates with a new effective date and provide additional notice or obtain consent when the law requires. A change to this notice does not by itself authorize a new use requiring separate permission. The Marketplace Terms of Service and Reviews and Content Policy describe contractual and content rules; this notice describes our privacy practices.
